剧情梗概：
俄亥俄州赫灵顿高中，似乎就在一夜之间，学校的老师以及部分优等生就变得十分奇怪。原本态度和蔼的他们如今冷峻阴森，而这种情况似乎愈演愈烈。问题学生凯西（ElijahWood伊利亚•伍德饰）和黛丽拉（JordanaBrewster乔丹娜•布鲁斯特饰）偶然机缘躲进了衣橱，并由此见证了护士罗莎（SalmaHayek饰）被残忍杀害的场面。但未过多久，罗莎又完好无损地出现众人面前，表情却如其他老师一般阴森。凯西等人逐渐意识到，这一连串事件和他们发现的某种神秘生物有关，而今这种生物似乎正以令人难以想象的恐怖速度大肆蔓延。危险不断迫近剧情版本二：一群令学校头痛不已的问题学生，在一次偶然的机会下，发现有一种不明的生物体出现在校园中，他们拿去做化验时，发现那是非常希罕的物种，遇水就会产生旺盛的活动力，并且会不断的分化。接着校园中不断地出现怪事，老师们的行径都跟以往大不相同，最后他们发现许多老师和所谓的乖乖牌学生都被异形寄身。这样的理论当然被其他的人嗤之以鼻，他们只好自己去求证，同时这群学生也必须躲避异形老师的追杀。危机步步逼近，被异形寄生的人已蔓延到全校，而最恐怖的是他们搞不清楚身边最亲近的同学，究竟还是不是人类？最后他们发现对付异形的致命武器，就是他们自制的毒品，他们要如何才能消灭这些入侵人类并计画控制地球的恐怖异形？幕后制作:其实导演罗勃罗里葛兹一开始就很希望和凯文威廉森合作，他说：我曾经看过《惊声尖叫》的剧本，我立刻就变成他的影迷，因为我非常喜欢这种类型的电影，尤其他将所有的类型电影融会贯通，然后再自创成另一类型，而《夺命高校》则是将科幻惊悚类型的电影整合，并且再加上凯文威廉森式的幽默。虽然《夺命高校》是一部惊悚科幻片，但是有时候人类比异形还恐怖，因为在这部电影中，有许多敌友难辨的情况，你根本无法推测出谁才是你真正的朋友或谁才是异形，而且即使是你的朋友，也不能确定明天他还是不是你的朋友？除了编导功力一流之外，有许多年轻的演员都在这部电影中大展身手，像《彗星撞地球》里的伊利亚伍德和《H20抓鬼节》乔许哈纳特等人。而在《夺命高校》中饰演老师的演员，包括在《魔鬼终结者2》演出液态金属人的罗伯特帕特里克，《黄金眼》的芬卡珍森和《恶夜追杀令》的莎曼海耶克，阵容十分坚强。像伊利亚伍德在《夺命高校》里，演一个经常被同学欺负的家伙，在实际情况中他就有同样的经验：当我念中学时，我真的就像电影中的凯西一样，只是因为我长得还算高大，所以没有经常被揍。但是有趣的是，我真的觉得在我们学校中有外星人，我甚至还怀疑自己也是外星人。《夺命高校》启用了一些新面孔来饰演高中学生，而这部电影的制片依莉莎白艾芙隆就非常赞许这些年轻新星的表现：他们不仅聪明而且用功，不只是有漂亮的面孔而已。罗勃特罗里葛兹也说：虽然许多人说新人会让进度变得更慢，因为他们可能连走位都不会，但是我却觉得这些新人为这部电影注入令人振奋的力量。
