剧情梗概：
古老帝国拉比达是一座漂浮在空中的巨大的机器岛，传说那里已经无人居住，蕴藏着巨大的财富。因此，无论军方还是海盗，都在找寻着这座传说中的飞行岛。矿工帕克这天偶遇拉达比继承人希达，两人一见如故。因为希达身上有找寻拉比达帝国的重要物件飞行石，军方和海盗两帮人马都在追杀希达。帕克带着希达一起逃亡，最终都没有逃出军方的手中，希达被军队掳走了。为救朋友，帕克只能选择与海盗合作。帕克与海盗成功救出了希达，同时，他们也发现了军方的邪恶计划。为了阻止军方邪恶计划的实施，他们和海盗一起踏上了寻找拉比达之旅。创作背景：宫崎骏语我想制作一部少年英雄为了梦想而不断拼搏的冒险故事。当时我就确信这种题材对观众没有吸引力。虽然过了一段时间后，很多人都说‘我好喜欢《天空之城》，可是在院线发行时期却观者寥寥。当男性得到一份工作或某个职位时，他便被视作成年人。对于女性来说，身体形象就可以令她的角色成立，而对于男性来说则需要社会地位乃至命运这些看不见的东西去支撑。因此，像巴鲁这类劳动者身份的少年，很难将观众吸引到电影院中来。可我希望还能再制作一部描写8、9岁少年英雄的影片。男孩，时常会悲剧性地存活于世。对于他们来说，在现今这个世上生活是多么艰苦的一件事。评价：不知道为什么，这个片子里面的科技感觉很耐人寻味，看年代，貌似于蒸汽机时代。不怎么先进。可是却有非常先进的飞行战舰。。然后再看阿普达岛。上面的科技就如同外星人一般，但那些建筑怎么看都非常古老，像古代一般的建筑。既然他们那么先进为什么还用如此老土的建筑物呢？？不过话说回来，也正是这些东西给电影添加了几分耐人寻味和精彩。每部新番都想去追，哪怕是很渣的；每一部旧漫都想去补，哪怕是被遗忘的。能够看完所有的动画，这仅是身为漫迷的我们的一点奢望；每次熬到熊猫眼只为了能看完一部动画，这是属于我们的一丝疯狂。无论乃是神马属性。怎么说呢，宫崎骏的电影我很喜欢看，他的电影每当我想安静的时候，看了过后，我会有一种很平静的感觉，也带点忧伤和回味。他的作品很值得思考。他的作品我全看完了，真的很不错，我一直在追。希望他的作品越来越好，我期待。根要扎在土壤里,和风儿一同生存,与种子一同过冬,与鸟儿一同歌颂春天.孤独的拉普达,被欲望迷失掉的文明,最终摆脱掉她身上的附蛹,带着那曾经辉煌美好的记忆,高傲地飘离这美与丑共存的世界,归隐于宇宙,相忘于时间。觉得好可惜，多么美丽的一个地方。不过结局真是有点耐人寻味。特别是在最后天空之城在他们的视线中越飞越远的时候。感到惋惜，太美了，太好看了。
