剧情梗概：
2007年央视重点大戏,CCTV1黄金时间近期推出,纪念彭雪枫将军诞辰100周年,1937年抗日战争爆发前夕，红军高级将领彭雪枫受毛主席指派，前往山西太原与军阀阎锡山进行秘密会谈，通过彭雪枫不懈努力，终于在顽固且狡猾的晋军防线上成功地开辟了北上抗日的通道。1938年初，彭雪枫又受中心的委派，前往河南的竹沟开辟抗日根据地。为实现党中心、毛主席在黄河和长江之间建立我们的力量的战略意图，彭雪枫进行了艰苦不懈的努力和探索，使竹沟成为当时中原抗战的中心。1938年10月，彭雪枫奉命组建新四军游击支队，担任司令员兼政委，率部挺进豫东地区。1939年１月，彭雪枫率部在永城、毫州、涡阳一带建立豫皖苏抗日民主根据地，被老百姓赞为天下第一文明军。1941年1月，皖南事变后，任新四军第四师师长。为了抗日大计，为了脱离与国民党顽固派的磨擦，彭雪枫率经四师撤退到津浦路东、忍痛离开了他一手创建的豫皖苏根据地。1941年1943年，彭雪枫与邓子恢、张震、吴芝圃等领导军民同日伪军及国民党顽固派进行艰苦斗争，巩固和发展淮北抗日根据地，他们以洪泽湖为依托，坚持淮北敌后的抗日战争，纵横驰骋、浴血奋战，取得了有名的33天反扫荡等大小数百次战斗胜利。1944年，彭雪枫奉命西征，首战告捷，为部队西进打开了胜利之门。9月11日，在有名的河南夏邑东八里庄战争中，彭雪枫亲自指挥战斗，不幸被流弹击中，英勇殉国，时年37岁。是抗战中牺牲的新四军最高将领。彭雪枫将军是中国工农红军和新四军高级指挥员，是中心军委确认的我军军事家之一。他忠诚革命、智勇双全、战功卓著，在红军长征中参与指挥了多次有名战斗和战争。他的牺牲是中国抗日斗争的重大损失，毛主席亲笔写下：二十年艰难事业，即将彻底完成，忍看功绩辉煌，英明永在，一世忠贞，是共产党人好榜样！
