剧情梗概：
汤隆出生于铁匠世家，生性顽劣爱赌博，对传承祖业不甚上心，让其父汤知寨很是着急。但汤隆又天资聪颖，打活时透出的灵气又让汤知寨怀有希望。在一次父子争吵后，汤隆没有听从父亲的劝告留在家里，而是偷拿了钱去赌场，回来后发现汤知寨已遭不测。原来，此处管辖延安府的袁知府，为了向上峰敬送够分量的礼物，瞄上了汤知寨珍藏的一把宝剑，派得力手下金宏恩携重金前来购买，被回绝。金宏恩唯恐知府怪罪，索性力夺，打斗中杀死了汤知寨，抢走了青龙剑，并伪造了塌棚事故现场。这一招虽然骗过了前来验尸的忤作，但细心的汤隆在痛哭过后，发现了破绽，再一搜，青龙剑没丢，匣中还多出许多黄金，深知家道艰难的他，觉得此事并不简单。雨夜杏儿为被袁知府逼死的村民报仇，前来行刺袁知府，却被青龙剑削断了武器，受伤后狼狈逃走。正巧逃到了汤隆家院子，惊险躲过搜索，被酒醒后的汤隆所救。汤隆第二天在外面看到了追拿杏儿的布告，才知道自己所救原来是个刺客。并得知袁知府手中有一把可疑的宝剑，问清特征后，断定袁知。是父亲命案的幕后黑手，两人决定联手报仇……但对手捕快金宏恩并不简单，袁知府更是一个狠角色。在两人复仇之路上，有太多的凶险……
