剧情梗概：
已经基本摆脱了战争阴影的巴黎，正在为世界博览会向世界敞开大门，一伙美国女游客刚刚到达巴黎落成不久的国际机场，她们都在为巴黎和博览会兴奋着。 于勒先生来到世界博览会所在的一所大楼里，他要找一位先生办事。这座四处一尘不染设备先进的大楼可让于勒先生开了眼界，除了看门老头有点无所事事以外，大楼里所有人都忙得很。于勒先生很快就被忘记了，他开始独自在大楼里寻找那位负责人，哪知道大楼实在是太大了，而于勒先生对现代大楼也实在是不熟悉，他总是和负责人擦肩而过。不过，于勒先生也不是没有收获，至少他看到了从没见过的大办公室、热闹的博览会、各色的游客和顾客，算是大开眼界。 出了博览会大楼，于勒先生很快进入巴黎热闹的街道中。下了电车，于勒先生遇到了以前军队中的战友，这个胖子看来如今已经是有钱人了，他邀请于勒先生去“参观”他的家、他的妻子、女儿和各种先进的家具家电。出了门，天已经黑了，旁边的公寓正在装修，于勒先生也看了一会子热闹，忽然他又看到了白天怎么也找不到的负责人，于是两个人去谈了一会儿公事。 不远处的夜总会刚刚装修好，从入夜开始就已经宾客满堂了，所有客人兴致都很高，但装修的质量可实在不怎么样，到处是小毛病，好在也没有人太挑剔。吃吃喝喝已经让所有伙计和老板应接不暇了，后面是更加热闹的歌舞玩乐。于勒先生也来了，他是被以前军队的熟人，如今夜总会的司机硬拉进来的，上午在大楼里显得没头没脑的于勒先生看起来对这样的环境和气氛倒不陌生，很快和兴致勃勃的客人们玩闹起来，还结识了一位漂亮的美国女游客。于勒先生一时兴起，为女士服务，谁知却把刚刚装修的屋顶装饰搞了下来，餐厅里一片狼藉。但所有的客人非但没有扫兴，反而玩得更加疯狂。这个时候想起来，也许这间热闹非常的夜总会就是白天装修夜里拆吧。 狂欢了一夜，凌晨的巴黎显得有点冷清，但也别有一番韵味。很快，就在玩了一晚的人们喝杯咖啡的功夫，巴黎又再度热闹起来。
