剧情梗概：
丹尼（亚当桑德勒AdamSandler饰）年轻时经历了一场失败的恋爱，深感被女人欺骗的他偶然间发现了婚戒的妙用，从此伪装成已婚男人四处逢场作戏。多年后丹尼已是一名成功的整形医生，他在一次派对上认识了美丽的女孩帕莫尔（布鲁克琳黛克BrooklynDecker饰），两人一夜定情。次日醒来，发现了婚戒的帕莫尔误以为丹尼已婚，表示要退出复杂的关系。为挽留心仪的女孩丹尼只得再次编造谎言，并央求医院的助手凯瑟琳（詹妮弗安妮斯顿JenniferAniston饰）扮演即将与自己离婚的妻子。只是谎言如同雪球般越滚越大，凯瑟琳的两个孩子、丹尼的兄弟艾迪等人都被卷入其中。当一行人来到夏威夷度假并遇上凯瑟琳的死对头德芙琳（妮可基德曼NicoleKidman饰）后，失控的事态朝着意外的方向发展了剧情版本二：在片中，亚当桑德勒扮演的角色雇佣詹妮弗安妮斯顿和她的孩子们假装扮成他即将离异的家人，为了赢取他梦中女孩的芳心。丹尼是一个有家庭、有地位的整形外科医生，但是他和自己的妻子相处的并不愉快。目前，丹尼正在贼头贼脑地寻找新的刺激。有一天，他碰到了一个年轻、有活力、而且还很开放的女孩。为了哄女孩开心，并且把她钓到手，丹尼一直没有告诉女孩自己是个已婚男人的事实。但是女孩很快便发现了丹尼已婚的蛛丝马迹，并且准备离开这个花心的老男人。而丹尼呢，似乎也真的是喜欢上了这个女孩，他不仅没有用自己玩弄女人的手段来对付她，反而对她百依百顺。在自己已婚的事实破败之后，丹尼告诉女孩自己正在准备和妻子离婚，他的太太很快就会变成前妻。为了让自己的谎言圆满，他找来了自己的客户经理凯瑟琳假扮那位传说中即将离婚的妻子，以便圆满自己的谎言，让女孩相信他。而凯瑟琳也毫不含糊，短暂地做起了临时妻子。不过，一个谎言没有办法自圆其说，所以丹尼只好带着凯瑟琳又撒了一个谎。于是，一个谎言接着谎言的循环战开始了。连凯瑟琳的孩子也没能幸免于难，被卷入到丹尼的阴谋之中。在一次集体去夏威夷的旅游之后，他们的生活将永远被改变。男主角丹尼是个整形医生，同时还是个爱情游戏者，他泡妞的方法比较与众不同，在酒吧、商场或者任何一个搭讪场合，他都以退为进的戴上婚戒，忧伤的告诉美女们：我被我老婆甩了欺负了。女人都爱受伤的男人，于是他每次都全胜而归。可是在他摸爬滚打了很久后，忽然看到了自己的梦中情人，这一次他决定来真的了，可惜，他忘记把道具销毁了，于是姑娘在他的口袋里又发现了婚戒。于是丹尼的助手也就是詹妮弗安妮斯顿饰演的一个戴眼镜不打扮的宅女被拉入了这场谎言，扮演丹尼的前妻。所以，这部爱情片的重点不仅是真爱，还有关前妻大变身，安妮斯顿得负责贡献出自己的孩子做演员，另外还得让自己从宅女变身为性感前妻。幕后花絮本片翻拍自1969年的影片《仙人掌花》,《仙人掌花》改编自百老汇歌舞剧,剧本来自法国。它曾经是1970年票房第七高的影片。《仙人掌花》曾经在2005年被印度的宝莱坞翻拍成了《爱情救急》。影片的制片公司是亚当桑德勒创办的HappyMadison,其本人是影片的制片人。导演丹尼斯杜根几乎就是桑德勒的御用导演。影片在夏威夷的外景地选择在了毛伊岛和考艾岛。剧组于2010年的3月2日到5月25日在这里拍摄。那些城市里的镜头是在洛杉矶拍的。影片的上映时间是2011年的2月11日。那天恰巧是詹妮弗安妮斯顿42岁的生日。这是桑德勒和詹妮弗安妮斯顿的首次合作。他们是认识了20多年的好朋友,在还没有出名的时候,他们就在朋友的酒会上相识了。电影结尾在飞机上帕莫（布鲁克琳黛克）偶遇自己的真爱，一位网球选手，其实指的就是布鲁克琳黛克的真实生活中的爱人网球明星老公安迪罗迪克。
