剧情梗概：
女主角Stella得到神秘人Dane（丹恩）的消息并得知在巴罗犯下罪行的吸血鬼去了洛杉矶，于是她离开巴罗来到洛杉矶，并想要通过演讲的方式告诉人们吸血鬼的存在。但人们似乎觉得她只是在满口胡说而已。在一次演讲的过程中她受到观众的嘲笑，无奈的她只能打开日光灯让吸血鬼们现形。但这个做法造成了现场的混乱并引起了FBI的关注，政府决定封锁消息。Stella回到居住的旅店时遇到了和她有类似遭遇的三个人并被邀请加入猎杀吸血鬼的队伍。他们有一个共同的目的：找到吸血鬼女王Lilith（莉莉丝）并杀死她。意外的是吸血鬼猎杀队伍中还有一个重要的人：Dane！而他却是个吸血鬼！他的家人被吸血鬼所杀害，受了轻伤而又幸运逃脱的他因此变成了吸血鬼。在Dane的帮助下他们幸运的躲过了吸血鬼的屠杀并救出了一个女孩，女孩告诉他们吸血鬼在Lilith的指令下准备在阿拉斯加另一个小镇温莱特（Wainwright）展开大屠杀。Stella决定阻止这场杀戮。他们偷偷登上了吸血鬼们乘坐的船寻找Lilith却意外发现了关于吸血鬼的秘密，原来只要吸血鬼的头还在，就算被太阳光晒死了，也可以用鲜血让他们复活！在经过一番打斗之后只有Stella活了下来。独自面对吸血鬼女王的她躲在吸血鬼女王泡澡的血液中混淆女王的嗅觉并趁女王不注意砍下了她的头。回到家的Stella挖出了丈夫Eben的尸体想用自己的血液救活他剧情版本二：在上一集后，女主角Stella离开阿拉斯加最北小镇巴罗（Barrow），前往洛杉矶，并告诉世人那里发生的恐怖事件。她的旅行引起了当地温暖气候下的女吸血鬼们的愤怒，Stella从此得知可能有一种办法可以救活被杀死的丈夫Eben。
