The Day That Shocked the World is a documentary film. On September 11, 2001, the sun shone as always on New York, the city that never sleeps. In the bustling morning, no one expected that an unprecedented disaster would hit New York and Washington a few hours later, shocking the whole world. At 8:46 a.m., Flight 11 full of passengers was hijacked by terrorists and eventually crashed into Tower 1 of the World Trade Center. Not long after, Flight 175 crashed into Building 2 of the World Trade Center. In an instant, the two iconic buildings emitted billowing smoke, and screams for help, cries, wailings, and sirens resounded over New York. Not long after, the two buildings collapsed, marking the end of an era and the beginning of the worst era. Since then, 77 flights have crashed into the Pentagon and 93 flights have crashed. The United States has suffered unprecedented tragedies and terrorist attacks.
