"Dark Showdown" is a drama and thriller directed by Emmanuel Uribe, who together with Almodovar created Spanish cinema in the post-Franco era. The film was nominated for 19 Goya Awards in Spain, and won nine awards including Best Picture, Best Director, Best Screenplay, Best Actor, and Best Special Effects. It won the Best Film Gold Medal at the Sebastian Film Festival in Spain. The Shell Award and the Best Actor Award.
