Di lives with her parents farming in the misty mountains of Vietnam. She is full of curiosity and imagination about the outside world and growing up. The custom of "snatching marriages" is prevalent in the village of Hemeng, a Miao nationality. My sister became a wife and mother when she was underage. Di warned herself not to follow in the same footsteps, but on New Year's Eve, when her parents returned home, they found that she was nowhere to be seen. The director's long-term shooting with the camera is both intimate and highly self-sustaining, presenting the complexity of social reality and documentary ethics, witnessing and accompanying the girls' growth and self-consciousness.
